Hemvärnet
The Home Guard is a part of the Swedish Armed Forces and consists of wartime units with the main tasks of protecting, guarding, and conducting surveillance. Home Guard units operate across the entire conflict spectrum, from missions in times of peace and crisis to armed combat in war, and they maintain a military presence throughout the country. In this way, the Home Guard forms a national and territorial foundation for the defense and protection of Sweden.
